Rydal has rolled out it's vision statement at the leadership meeting. It was received quite well. It may need a tweek or two, but the initial response was good.
Also Rydal Park has a rough outline for a newletter. It will follow the heart model and will highlight employee accomplishments.

The mini rally we rolled out today followed the heart model. It was the 5foot/10foot rule. The Heart team wore huge name tags shaped as hearts. We laid a glitter ladden ruler on the ground, when the managers showed up for the meeting, if they followed the 5ft/10ft, they received a heart which they put their name on and placed on the ruler. It was a good starting point and the managers need to know that they need to stay on their game. I must say that the managers did pretty good.

Our team would like to initiate a program with marigold seed packets. The seed packets would display something like "you have a Heart of Gold", with possibly a vision statement or something like that on it. If interested please contact: shari.neidich@presbysinspiredlife.org

  1. Wow! I loved how you focused on the 5ft/10ft rule. Just goes to show how a small gesture can have a HUGE impact!

    Great job Rydal Heart Team!

  2. Shari, Thanks for posting this example! The focus on 5 foot/10 foot is an extraordinary example of making the Presby's Service from the HEART standard TANGIBLE and then communicating it in a fun, effective and creative way that sticks!

I'm assuming you might make this part of your Heart Beat Rally? AWESOME! And be sure to let the front-line that you put the managers through the exercise first.

    Great job!!!!
